Following Matthew Perry’s untimely death, millions of fans worldwide are in sorrow together with his friends and family.
On October 28, the actor who portrayed Chandler Bing in the beloved television series Friends was discovered unconscious in the hot tub of his Los Angeles residence.
Perry reportedly drowned, but the official cause of death is still unknown. What is known is that no narcotics of any type were discovered at the location, and there is no suspicion of foul play.
Perry was an ardent player of pickleball, a combination of badminton, ping-pong, and tennis, before his untimely death. His pickleball partner noted that he played the game every day, sometimes even twice, and that the day of his death he appeared especially tired.
Matt Manasse, Perry’s pickleball instructor, said the late actor “genuine, compassionate, and completely authentic.”
“Matthew was an authentic, kind, and very real guy. You felt happier when you saw him or heard from him since he wanted to help everyone around him. He always made everyone laugh, so it was only fair that we returned the favor when we watched him enjoying himself while playing and competing on a pickleball court, Manasse said.
The anecdotes he would share about his life and work will be missed. It wouldn’t be ideal to overlook a word. He prayed for everyone he touched since he loved his family and friends so much. Matthew did exist. He was obviously extraordinarily gifted, but he also possessed a unique quality. You can’t see the kind of compassion he had for everyone.
